Helen Fielden, Open Mental Health’s Senior Co‑production Manager, was a guest on Steve Haigh’s Radio Ninesprings show on Thursday, 16th May.
Helen works with OMH’s Expert by Experience Leaders to ensure that the voice of people with lived experience of mental health challenges shapes and steers our services.
Steve invited Helen on to the show to discuss Mental Health Awareness Week, which ran from Monday, May 13th, to Sunday, May 19th. The week focused on the benefits of being active and moving more for our mental health.
Helen and Steve talked about Open Mental Health and the many ways our alliance of local voluntary organisations, the NHS, social care, Somerset Council, and individuals with lived experience can support people experiencing mental health challenges.
