ARK has several appealing workshops and courses where you can meet like-minded people, learn new skills and relax in a safe environment.
The six-week Health and Wellbeing course, featuring clay modelling, African drumming, batik, willow weaving, wood whittling, need felting and cyanotype, includes drinks, snacks and a cooked lunch. It begins on Friday, 19th April, finishes on Friday, 25th May, and runs from 10:00 to 15:00. It’s free if you’re over the age of 19, live in Somerset, and earn £25k or less.
Multiply: Learn functional maths skills in a relaxed environment with an experienced tutor and get over the ‘fear factor’ of maths you may have had since school. The first session is on 4/4/24, 10:30 to 12:30.
Earth in Focus: This free workshop, aimed at 12—to 19-year-olds, will teach you how to storyboard, write, film, and edit a short film —all in one day! There are two opportunities: either 11/4/24 or 31/5/24, 10:00 to 15:00.
Lifetrack: In three sessions, gain the skills, confidence, and abilities needed to get a job and learn how to write a CV. There are two opportunities to complete the course—either 13/5/24, 20/5/24, and 3/6/24 or 13/6/24, 20/6/24, and 27/6/24.
