Peer Training
Open Mental Health and local partner WATCH CIO provide free workshops to support people who are ready to explore, with peers, their mental health and wellbeing.
Watch Self Discovery Workshops
The workshops are a welcoming, safe space, where thought-provoking conversations can be had. It’s a place where a lot of learning can happen through the simplicity of sharing experience and personal insights. Attendees will also learn a whole host of self-management tips and skills to help with their personal health and wellbeing. The person-centred workshops cover practical tools that can have real life impact on one’s path of recovery.
Watch Peer Worker Development
When people with shared experiences support each other, everyone benefits. This programme gives people the skills, support, and confidence to do just that.
For anyone with lived experience of mental health challenges who wants to support others, or somebody moving into a peer support role or already in a paid/voluntary peer role.
By the end of the course you will:
• Have essential peer support skills
• Know how to reflect safely on your own experiences
• Explore your next steps
• Have 1:1 support followed by group peer support for one year once the course is complete.
