There’s a new haven for connection and support nestled in the heart of Frome. If you haven’t had the chance to experience its inviting atmosphere yet, why not pop along to the Wellbeing Café?
Located in The Good Heart on 7 Palmer St, Frome, the Wellbeing Café is a place where you can unwind, connect, or find a moment of peace.
A Welcome Retreat for Community and Connection
The Wellbeing Café had its inaugural drop-in on November 24th. Since then, it has been extending a warm invitation, free hot drinks, delicious cakes, and a friendly atmosphere every fortnight from 10.00 to 11.30 am, on the second and fourth Friday of the month.
In addition to the free hot drinks and cake, the café is a hub of information about mental health support in Frome, with volunteers who understand the challenges of living with mental health issues on hand to help you explore the rich tapestry of support offered by Open Mental Health.
Whether you seek conversation, quiet contemplation or advice, the café offers a friendly environment and a wealth of information. It paves the way for future collaborations and partnerships to create a resilient support system for Frome.
Voices from the Café
Lynn, a café visitor, said, “I didn’t know about Open Mental Health until I came to the café after seeing the sign and some posters around town. It was really helpful to find out how people can self-refer and also that there is the Mindline Somerset number too.”
Mrs Brooks, another café guest, added, “I popped into The Good Heart cafe today as I saw a sign for Open Mental Health and wanted to find out more about it. It is so refreshing to see different representatives come together, willing to find ways to help, especially providing support to the Frome community. Looking forward to future partnerships.”
