Open Mental Health Grants
For the years 2020-2022
The Open Mental Health grants scheme was established in 2020 with the objective to fund local projects across Somerset that focused on improving people’s mental health and wellbeing.
Awarding funds from:
88 Community Grants Awarded
Organisations were invited to apply for grants of up to £10,000. Over the two years Open Mental Health funded 88 projects across Somerset. These projects included:
- a men’s mental health walking group that aimed to help tackle feelings of isolation
- art experience days in a one-to-one setting
- short courses for women who suffered domestic abuse helping them to build resilience and emotional regulation
- funding for a family welfare officer within the Somerset NHS trust providing hospital-based welfare support to the Armed Forces Community
